Chapter 1703: The Iron Triangle

Chapter 1703: The Iron Triangle

The Batwing Helmet was a world-class secret treasure of the Shadowbat Civilization.

Its appearance on this battlefield, brought by Darian Wraith, clearly signaled that the Shadowbat Civilization had now fully committed itself to Magus World.

Darian Wraith was also widely acknowledged as the Shadowbat Civilization’s next leader.

His Phantom Chariot struck Sein as a formidable technological war machine.

It could even short a short distance within the Astral Realm.

While splitting into countless clones to engage enemies in close combat, the chariot could simultaneously provide long-range strike support.

With the Batwing Helmet equipped, Darian Wraith’s combat power surged dramatically.

Though Karl had no world-class secret treasure, he was no less striking on this battlefield.

As the most gifted and promising warrior of the current generation among the survivors of Planet Klythera, Karl carried within his veins the bloodline of that civilization’s former mightiest.

Standing side by side—one clad in blue, the other in black—Darian Wraith and Karl became the most conspicuous figures in this corner of the central battlefield.

Numerous powerful Rank Five allied creatures were also fighting nearby, yet all were overshadowed by the pair.

In truth, even some Rank Five Magus World knights and mages might not have been able to match their combat prowess.

Upon entering the battlefield, Sein immediately moved toward Karl and Darian.

In large-scale, chaotic engagements like this, rushing to reinforce weaker positions often only dragged one deeper into the fray, risking encirclement by surrounding enemy forces.

Joining forces with powerful figures like Karl and Darian maximized the Magus Civilization legion’s advantage in this sector.

Letting the enemy come to them was far superior to blindly charging into scattered skirmishes.

The arrival of Sein and Fermera brought immediate relief to Karl and Darian, who had been gradually encircled.

The two had already demonstrated overwhelming dominance across the surrounding battlefield.

Yet it was precisely because of their outstanding performance that they had become a major thorn in the Gallant Federation’s side.

Beyond the mobile suits and fleets directly engaging them, numerous Gallant Federation legions lay in wait, their artillery locked onto the pair from afar.

Sein and Fermera’s arrival effectively shattered the encirclement.

“Advance in that direction!” Sein declared, pointing toward the center of the battlefield.

In the next instant, Ashen Flames erupted from his demonic wings.

Fermera did not activate her lightsaber. Surrounded by an overwhelming swarm of Gallant Federation vessels, she responded instead by deploying countless energy cannon barrels across her body.

The sheer firepower unleashed in that instant rivaled that of any Magus World space fortress.

Even Darian Wraith’s Phantom Chariot could not match half of Fermera’s output.

This angel robot was ruthless indeed. Having defected to the Magus Alliance only recently, she now unleashed such an overwhelming blow against her former employer without the slightest hesitation.

Despite having awakened to self-awareness, Fermera perhaps still instinctively viewed others as little more than streams of data, guided by the cold logic of machines.

That perspective greatly reduced any psychological burden associated with her merciless assault on the Gallant Federation forces.

The arrival of Sein and his command met no resistance from the two Rank Five allied powerhouses.

They were well aware that Sein held immense influence and status within the Magus Alliance. After all, Master Feylis was his grandmaster.

As Sein and Fermera pushed forward, advancing straight toward the heart of the battlefield, Karl and Darian instinctively moved to flank Sein on either side.

In truth, Sein’s relationship with the two was lukewarm at best.

Darian Wraith had once hesitated over joining the Magus Alliance, effectively squandering the olive branch Sein had extended.

Karl, for his part, had sided with Blue Star in earlier years. Sein maintained far closer ties with Karl’s uncle, Karazo, as well as other Klytheran warriors like Kram.

But in the heat of battle, dwelling on such past frictions was meaningless.

Neither Karl nor Darian showed the slightest sign of hesitation.

Their support on Sein’s flanks far surpassed that of the Ice Tomb Enchantress by a wide margin.

The iron triangle formed by Sein, Fermera, Karl, and Darian quickly became one of the most striking focal points on the chaotic battlefield.

They advanced relentlessly, pressing straight toward Feylis’ position. To any observer, it was obvious they were rushing to her aid.

Feylis was currently locked in combat with Seiron, the mightiest combatant of the Arid Expanse World.

As a result, when faced with Sein’s rapidly advancing reinforcements, the Gallant Federation showed little reaction.

The Arid Expanse World was, in the end, nothing more than the Gallant Federation’s cannon fodder.

The federal generals did not care in the slightest about Seiron’s fate.

Using Seiron’s limited lifespan to delay the Magus Civilization legions for as long as possible was considered more than sufficient.

Even if reinforcements were to be sent to him, his situation would hardly be treated as a priority.

However, as Sein and his companions closed in on the outer edge of Feylis’ battlefield, a powerful external force stepped forward to block their advance.

It was a combat legion from the Grand Apocalypse World.

As a cultivation-based civilization, its inhabitants usually possessed razor-edged skulls and relied mainly on their dual blades in combat.

This Grand Apocalypse World legion, which had intervened so abruptly, included several Rank Four and Rank Five beings.

Not far from this position, a Rank Six powerhouse from the Grand Apocalypse World was also locked in combat.

That Rank Six entity, however, was unable to provide immediate support, as he was being held in check by a powerful Magus Civilization opponent.

Facing him was the Magus Alliance’s own Rank Six being—the God of Decay.

This entity was a shapeless monstrosity, its form constantly shifting and coated in a viscous, reddish-brown substance.

Even among Rank Six beings, the God of Decay possessed formidable combat strength, though its appearance was undeniably repulsive.

Moreover, due to its mastery of unsettling divine abilities such as decay, ruin, and pollution, the creature had few allies within the Magus Alliance and was known to be extremely reclusive.

It was said that the God of Decay had joined the Magus Alliance only recently. It had likely attended the previous Magus Alliance Conference, but with so many foreign gods present—and the creature apparently remaining silent throughout—Sein had no memory of it at all.

Sein only learned the God of Corruption’s name after specifically inquiring about the Rank Six forces currently deployed by the Magus Civilization in this subspace battlefield before rushing to Feylis’s aid.

Judging by the situation there, Sein did not need to worry about any Rank Six entities from the Grand Apocalypse World intervening on this front.

That meant Sein and his companions had only one task at hand—to deal swiftly with the immediate threat posed by these Rank Four and Rank Five Grand Apocalypse World combatants.
