Wang Shu was a girl to begin with, but she’d been so thin and frail before that it was impossible to tell her gender. Not that Lu Yun had ever cared about that.

“Mmhmm.” Yuan Yi nodded, a smile gracing her face for the first time. She pointed at the greenery budding outside of the city. “Look, that is hope.”

Cracks snaked through the world that was about to be made into a brick. It abruptly split open and the external shell like a sarcophagus dispersed.
